I have been working in the field of psychological assessment and intervention with children and adults since 1993. Prior to this I worked in a variety of roles with children and young people with special needs.
As a registered psychologist I work therapeutically with children and families across the ability spectrum including those with specific disorders such as Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), generalised learning disabilities, (e.g. Down’s Syndrome), specific learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia) and speech and language disorders, with my clinical practice being influenced by systemic family therapy. I have also worked extensively with adults with a variety of difficulties including those with mental health problems and/or a learning disability. This work has also involved parenting assessments, and parental/carer skills training, support and consultancy.
In addition to my role offering independent psychological assessment and advice I work within the fields of clinical psychology, organizational consultancy and as a Registered Intermediary with the Home Office, facilitating accurate communication between vulnerable witnesses and the Criminal Justice System. I am listed an an Expert Witness on the BPS services and currently carry out many legal assessments for vulnerable children and their families.
